thinslice started as a personal frustration: running multiple coding agents in parallel meant constantly juggling databases, ports, and config by hand. We wanted every worktree to feel like its own fully isolated environment — its own Postgres, its own Redis, its own port range — so agents could work on separate branches simultaneously without stepping on each other.

thinslice is an independent, self-funded open-source project. There are no investors, no board, and no big team behind it — just a commitment to shipping useful software that helps developers multiplex coding agents without vendor lock-in.
